Last night, getting in bed:
Jonah: Dad, how come Ava doesn't have a penis?
Jon: Cuz Ava is a girl, Joe. Only boys have one.
Jonah: Oh. . .
Jon: . . .
Jonah: I thought she just hadn't grown hers yet.

Yesterday...
Elisabeth: Ava, what do you want for your pee-pee treat?
Ava: I want one of Jonah's candies.
Elisabeth: I don't think Jonah would want you to eat his candy when you have your own candy.
Ava: It's hopeless.

My sister April ("Bepo" to the kids) was here for the past few days. As we pulled away from the airport last night after dropping her off, Ava started to cry: "I miss Beeeepoooo!"
Jonah, "I'm trying to cry, too!"
