Yesterday the kids and I picked the pumpkins out of Nana's garden. They are still a lot green. Then the kids had fun playing "squirrel-ies" on the front step. 

Jonah went to "Bad Hair Night" at Awana's last Wednesday.

Every night when we tuck her into bed, Ava (2.5 yrs) says, "I pray for you."
This is how it goes:
"Jesus dank you dis day. Momma feel better. Jesus name, AMEN!"
Then suddenly Jonah (4.9 yrs) will yell from the top bunk, "Ava! Momma's not sick!"
And we all laugh.
Every night.
I love these little routines; these little idiosyncrasies that makes each family unique, and makes my family my own.

Last Wednesday night I took Jonah to Awana's while Jon stayed home with Ava. It was a cloudy fall day/night...
Suddenly on the drive home...
Jonah: Mom, look! A hole in the sky!
It was a break in the clouds with the moon shining through.

The next few posts are of my weekend trip to Arizona with my sisters. It was so much fun to go to Sedona for Jamie's birthday--Adam was so awesome and paid for everyone's dinner for Jamie's birthday, and the rental car/gas. Thanks, Adam!! Happy 30th Jamie!!

Our new niece, Grace Townsley Busch! Four months old yesterday. I got a chance to see her for the first time this past weekend. I met up with my three sisters in Sedona, Arizona for 4 days for Jamie's 30th birthday!! 

Jonah the Elephant--he made this in pre-K last week.  

Ava got a new outfit, so Jonah ran into the bedroom to change his outfit to match her. :)
