Uh Oh

This from Jonah's new school policy on boy's hair:

"Hair must be neatly groomed. Any dramatic hair coloration or extreme cuts of hair are not acceptable. Hair colors must be of a natural hue. The length of the back of the hair is not to exceed the middle of a standard dress shirt collar and many not be longer than the top of the eyebrows in front. Pony tails, duck tails, or pattern cuts are not permitted."

This might cause some "friction" in the Brawler household.

Campin' at Cannon Beach

The Brawler's have a new member of the family...where we sleep and cook while camping...you'll have to stay tuned for pics since I am lame and forgot to take any.

These guys are extended-family. The Kelowna cousins drove down for a few days at the beach and we were so glad to visit, even if it was short and sweet.

Duri-ecipes

Most of you know our good friends Ian and Mindy Durias. But did you know that Mindy is a very talented cook? For years now she'll tell me about something she created in the kitchen and my girlfriends and I will beg her to write down her recipes! Well, finally she and Ian have collaborated and created Mindy Cooks, a blog with a "Mindy Original" recipe every Monday.
Here's some of her vision:
"I hope these recipes inspire creativity, build confidence, and bring joy when you cook. You're encouraged to experiment with more or less of each ingredient to your liking--that's how I made these dishes up in the first place. Maybe you'll be inspired to leave your cookbook on the shelf, too. Who knows what you'll dream up!"

Ispas Invasion (also known as: A Happy Visit)

My sis April (aka: Bepo) and her hubby Bela came for a visit from Romania last week! We had a wonderful wonderful wonderful visit (did I mention that it was wonderful?)!! They hit the ground running and the first night they stepped off the plane and wanted to go for a walk. We showed Bela where April used to live and...
