Most of our lifegroup from this past year. Posted by Hello
Well, we are officially moved out and closed on our house today. We just got back from signing the papers and Jon is picking up the check later today. Crazy!!! It has been a super easy transition for the kids, since they love it at "nannypop-pops" house. Louise and I were just chatting that it would have been much harder on them if we had to move into a strange apartment or something. It was wierd to go back to our house and see it empty. Vacuuming the kids rooms was hard--that was the final teary goodbye for me. Leaving the only home they have ever known; where we brought them from the hospital; the home that Jon and I built together...And yet through it all we have a peace and feel confident that this is the right time to make this change. Next week Itziar, our exchange student, returns for her second summer with us. We are excited and much less nervous this time around! We are relieved to not have to "be" the program this time--as there are 10 other students coming with her! They will all hear the Good News! We are so blessed to be a part of this ministry.

This is what Jonah told me Saturday night:
"Tonight we went with Daddy to Fred Meyders to pick you a card but it's a secret. And we picked you a flower, too, but that's a secret, too."

Playing "nap-time" in Ava's pack n' play! Posted by Hello

Monday, May 02, 2005

Jonah sang me a song at bedtime:

"Today I played outside.
Then I rode my bike.
Uh, mmmm, mmmm...
The sun was shining,
and I love you
more than everyday."

This morning Jon gave Jonah a hug and said, "See you later, Joe, I have to go to work now."
Jonah replied, "Daddy, you're my best friend."

It got cold in the house today so I put on a sweater from the coat closet. When Ava saw me come back to sit down she touched my arm and said, "Cool, Mom."
